    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team and provide services within our school districts. As a School-based Occupational Therapist, you will work collaboratively with educators, administrators, and families to assess students' functional abilities and implement therapeutic interventions to enhance their participation and success in academic and social activities.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' sensory, motor, and perceptual skills related to school performance.
    • Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and other professionals to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide recommendations for accommodations and modifications.
    • Deliver direct and consultative services to address students' needs in areas such as fine motor skills, handwriting, sensory processing, and activities of daily living (ADLs).
    • Design and implement therapeutic activities and interventions within classroom, small group, or individual settings to support students' academic progress and social-emotional development.
    • Provide training and support to school staff, parents, and caregivers on strategies to promote students' independence, functional skills, and participation in school routines.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of assessment results, treatment plans, progress notes, and attendance records in compliance with federal, state, and district regulations.
    • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, student evaluations, and professional development activities to support a collaborative approach to student-centered care.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
    • Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state and school district of practice.
    • Experience working with children and adolescents in educational or pediatric settings, with knowledge of special education laws and regulations.
    • Strong clinical assessment, intervention, and documentation skills.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with students, educators, parents, and other stakeholders.
    • Flexibility, creativity, and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students and navigate the school environment.
    • Commitment to professional growth and continuing education in the field of school-based occupational therapy.
