The Marketing Intern is responsible for assisting the Marketing Department in a variety of ways including, but not limited to event planning, public relations, social media, copywriting, digital marketing and assisting in the overall creative process for marketing campaigns to our membership and prospective members. This position will allow for 30-40 hours over the summer and will allow for 15-20 hours in the spring and fall semesters, depending on the workload and the hours the candidate is available. This position will require evenings and weekends on occasion.

*Employees are expected to adhere to all rules and regulations applicable to this position including, but not limited to all policies and procedures pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.

Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

* Assist in event planning, logistics and on-site work for events including, but not limited to, Purdue summer visit days, Boiler Gold Rush, and family days at branches.

* Provide support for social media efforts including blog and script writing as well as video filming.

* Assist with writing content for flyers, brochures, emails, etc., as needed.

* Assist with digital marketing efforts such as conducting monthly website audits.

* Support the Boiler Financial Track program with awareness campaign planning and implementation.

* Other duties as assigned to assist the Marketing Department.

Required Skills

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements:

* Education and Credentials

o College coursework related to public relations, advertising, communication, marketing and/or related field

o Must be available 30-40 hours per week in the summer and 15-20 hours per week in the fall and spring semester

* Experience

o Marketing work experience preferred, but not required

o Financial industry experience preferred, but not required

* Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

o Strong verbal and written communication skills

o Detail oriented

o Organized

o Ability to meet deadlines

o Ability to work independently

o Ability to communicate, verbally and in writing, in a professional manner when dealing with employees, members, vendors and company contacts

o Ability to follow the core values of honesty, integrity, mutual respect, pride and ownership
