As a Professional Engineer for Public Works, you will develop project work plans and scopes of work, and be exposed to project management.
    Responsibilities, Expectations, and Duties:
    • Produce project deliverables, including design plans, cost estimates, specifications, and technical reports for a wide variety of infrastructure projects
    • Prepare site and roadway, grading, drainage, and utility design using AutoCAD Civil 3D
    • Organize supporting calculations and permitting in various jurisdictions
    • Development of project work plans and scopes of work
    • Provide project oversight and schedule monitoring
    • Administer quality assurance for project deliverables
    • Maintain effective communications with clients and project teams
    • Ensure that the staff resources are deployed in a productive and profitable manner
    • Conduct meetings to ensure that project needs are balanced with staff availability
    • Partner with other Horrocks practice leaders to assist in multi-disciplinary project pursuits
    • Take ownership of projects from start to finish

    Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:
    • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university
    • 8 years minimum experience
    • PE Licensure
    • A self-directed practitioner with strong project delivery skills
    • Ability to supervise staff, bid projects, and develop project execution plans and technical deliverables
    • Work effectively as a team leader in a group environment and maintain positive relationships with team members and clients
    • Organized and detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and AutoCAD Civil 3D
    • A desire to grow personally and professionally with each project while working in a team environment to create designs and drawings supporting our client's overall project goal
