    After more than 60 years away from Formula One, Aston Martin returned to the grid in 2021.

    Based in Northamptonshire, Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team has more than 800 passionate people at its heart, making a team with both a rich heritage and a fresh perspective – bringing new energy to the sport with a determination to shake up the order and compete at the sharp end.

    We have a new opportunity to be part of the

    Performance Development

    team in the role of

    Vehicle Dynamics Engineer .
    The role has broad responsibilities in the following areas:
    Simulation studies for current and future car development
    Performance analysis
    Mechanical rig testing (R&D, K&C, 7-Post)
    Conducting Driver In the Loop Simulator (DILSim) test programs
    Liaison with other technical departments

    The following skills & experience are required:
    Experience within in the

    automotive/motorsport

    sector
    A proactive approach to problem solving
    An understanding of mechanical systems
    An understanding of data analysis techniques
    An awareness of ground vehicle aerodynamic principles
    Matlab and/or Python coding experience
    Good communication skills, being able to describe problems in simple terms
    Experience in the following is preferred but not essential:
    Data analysis software
    Mechanical modelling in Simulink / Dymola
    Hands-on experience of

    mechanical/automotive

    systems
    The ideal candidate will possess an excellent degree in an Engineering related discipline and exhibit strong problem solving skills.
    The ability to work effectively whether as part of a cross-functional team or with minimal supervision is a prerequisite.
