- Design electro-mechanical assemblies to achieve high performance and reliable space robotic products
- Lead a broad range of development activities from initial design through manufacturing and testing with a strong hands-on approach
- Encourage collaboration with electrical and software design teams to achieve optimal robot assembly configurations
- Design and conduct various types of tests such as operation verification test, reliability and lifetime evaluation, etc.
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 3+ years of professional industry experience in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in designing electro-mechanical components that consist of a large number of precise components, such as actuators
- Exspaties of mechanical drawing based on a strong understanding of GD&T
- Excellent hands-on 3D CAD skills
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Strong hands-on skills for assemblying electro-mechanical components
- Strong hands-on skills for various types of environmental testing such as vibration, thermal, and vacuum etc.
- Fundamental and practical understanding of thermal design in mechanical design
- Experience with both small R&D phase products and mass production
- Practical understanding and experience in failure analysis
- Strong understanding of metallic materials for aerospace applications, including stainless steels, aluminum alloys, and titanium alloys
- Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and offsite as needed
