    Department OverviewThe Sales Effectiveness & Enablement organization leads the strategy, development, and delivery of sales tools & processes that enable an efficient, effective selling organization. We develop the tools our sellers and pre-sale teams use to drive sales efficiency in reporting, forecasting, quoting, proposal delivery and more every day. Our mission is to build the best set of tools, data, and processes that will enable our Worldwide Sales organization to pursue continuous sales growth.
    Job Description

    The Google Applications developer role will deploy and support sales tools within Google Suite applications that enable our sellers to create customer-facing selling documents quickly. In this role, you will be a developer for these applications, designing and implementing features based on input from multiple teams within Motorola Solutions.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Develop and support tools for creating standardized documents in a Google Docs environment
    • Complete complex program changes to translate requirement specifications into code
    • Develop and test technical design
    • Apply application-specific technical skills to independently produce deliverables, including programming changes, test scripts, and documentation
    • Acquires and utilizes more in-depth user and business knowledge to support the applications
    • Plans, documents, and executes test plans to ensure code meets specifications
    • Performs programming changes during user testing and post-implementation to ensure the integrity of the application
    • Responds to questions, and also researches and resolves issues to provide technical support for production applications
    • Optimize and maintain code following initial completion

    Qualifications:

    • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or comparable disciplines
    • Problem-solving skills
    • Knowledge of user interface design and web design constraints
    • Knowledge of content management processes
    • Strong communication and presentation skills
    • Experience coding with any of the following languages: XML, Visual Basic, C#
    • Experience coding add-ons to Google desktop publishing applications, such as Google Docs or Google Sheets
    • Salesforce Experience a plus
    • Experience in SOAP-based web services and Rest APIs
    • Knowledge of user interface design and web design constraints
