Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) is currently looking for a Closures Engineering Design Intern (Mechanisms) for the summer to join the Closures Engineering Design Team in Superior Township, MI.

Essential Duties:

• Support Development of a "Smart Vehicle Entry System" Using AI Machine Learning Technology
• Assist with a Working Demonstration Buck With Holding Fixture, Sensors, Cameras, LIDAR, AI "Python" Computer Programming, etc.
• Create and present reports to Engineers and Management summarizing findings

Basic Qualifications:

• Pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
• Background in ECU programing
• Will help in designing the logic and the code for the AI system and will have the ability to convert different programing languages (Ex: Matlab to Python).
• Develop and execute code for ECU in a vehicle
• Should be able to gather and manipulate data from different types of sensors and process the gathered data in ECU
• Familiar with vehicle sensors
• Should be able to recognize different types of sensors on vehicle and should have experience in working with sensors on vehicle
• Familiar with CAD programs
• Should be able to review and check 3D data for surrounding parts when needed
• Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record
