    The Human Resources Director will oversee all aspects of the Human Resources Department and ensure that TATRO stays in compliance with all employment and workplace law and regulations, as well as regulations specific to the construction industry.

    This role plays a vital part in staffing the company with high-performing employees and workforce planning to keep up with company growth.


    ESSENTAIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    These duties are not listed in any order of priority but will be weighted for performance management purposes.


    • Ensure that all employee-related functions align with the Company Vision, Mission, Core Values and Strategies.
    • Partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention and succession planning.
    • Provide support and guidance to the HR department, management, and all other staff. This includes when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as disciplinary action, providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
    • Identify and create learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees and oversee training compliance.
    • Analyze trends and administer compensation and employee benefit plans. Research and propose competitive base wage ranges and analyze benefit comparisons, cost, and value to make recommendations for new benefit offerings and vendor selection to remain competitive within the industry and demographic market.
    • Track and measure basic HR metrics such as turnover and retention.
    • Coordinate employee performance processes necessary to properly create and sustain a healthy and effective purposeful culture.
    • Maintain Human Resource related files, database and software and preserve high level confidentiality of Company records, including personnel files, disciplinary records, and all other employee records.
    • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
    • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures; prepare and maintain the Employee Handbook.
    • Ensure Company compliance and reporting with federal, state, and local employment law including HIPAA, COBRA, FLSA, EEOC, FMLA, Affirmative Action, and ADA and others.
    • Manage all unemployment claims.
    • Maintain licensure and continuing education hours for licensed employees.
    • Oversight and administration of DOT Driver compliance requirements.
    • Oversight and back-up for the Payroll Clerk.
    • Manage Worker's Compensation injuries, claims and required record keeping.
    • Track, record and report OSHA-required data.
    • Work with Safety Director* -o maintain OSHA compliance
    o assist and participate as needed with conducting monthly safety meetings
    o maintain safety records and ensure compliance with contractor safety requirements


    • Oversee employee safety welfare, wellness, and health.
    • Develop departmental goals, objectives, and systems to keep up with company growth.
    • Advise manager on organizational policy matters and recommend changes and improvements.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related business field
    • SHRM-CP, PHR, SHRM-SCP, or SPHR certification(s) preferred
    • Minimum of 2 Years of HR Generalist experience
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
    • Payroll Understanding preferred.
    • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.
    • HR Experience within the Construction industry is a plus.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
    Occasional lifting up to 20lbs
    Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
