Split Shift Weld Supervisor - Milwaukee

Job summary

Due to continued growth, our client has an immediate opening for a Split Shift Weld Supervisor to lead a skilled welding and fabrication team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the daily activities of MIG welders and fabricators, delegating job responsibilities to the appropriate employees
• Train, mentor, and motivate staff to meet demanding manufacturing requirements and production schedules
• Assist with tasks as necessary to complete assignments accurately and on time
• Test products and equipment for defects or malfunctions and ensure corrective actions are taken
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with company standards and procedures
• Communicate process updates, procedural changes, and quality expectations to all team members
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Qualifications

• Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification required
• Minimum of 4 years of experience working in a manufacturing facility on the shop floor
• Proven ability to measure, compare, and perform complex shop calculations to ensure compliance with engineering and sales specifications
• Previous experience working with and reading blueprints required
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing production demands
• Prior experience working with steel materials is a plus
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing and motivating shop floor employees to meet quality and delivery goals
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to meeting customer expectations
