Join Our Team as a Telecommunications Specialist (RF/Microwave)
Position Overview: Play a pivotal role in designing, testing, deploying, and supporting our critical communications infrastructure. With a focus on radio technologies and IT systems, you'll guarantee the uninterrupted flow of voice and data communications, safeguarding our operations and adhering to the highest standards of reliability and security.
Key Responsibilities:

• Open to candidates in Superior, Houston, Calgary, and Edmonton.
• Reliable Communications: Ensure all remote devices communicate flawlessly with our SCADA system, adhering to specifications, policies, and industry standards.
• Technical Expertise: Demonstrate proficiency in radio, WAN, LAN, and IP systems, translating business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Subject Matter Expertise: Act as a communications guru for Engineering Projects, offering round-the-clock support and innovative solutions.
• Problem-Solving: Tackle complex challenges head-on, proposing changes and preemptive solutions to enhance our infrastructure.
• Collaboration: Foster a culture of diversity and safety, liaising with internal teams, clients, and vendors to drive success.
• Project Management: Lead mid-size projects, developing and maintaining project plans while managing budgets and resources effectively.

Preferred Skills:

• Microwave Radio Design: Experience in design, implementation, and support, particularly in Oil & Gas environments.
• RF Predictive Modeling: Proficiency in RF coverage modeling tools to optimize network performance.
• RF System Infrastructure: Expertise in repeaters, antennas, filters, and other essential components.
• Wide Technology Exposure: Familiarity with Wi-Fi, satellite, Land Mobile Radio, and cellular technologies.
• Vendor Experience: Worked with leading manufacturers like Nokia, Cambium, and Sierra Wireless.
• Regulatory Compliance: Understanding of FCC licensing requirements and safety standards.
• Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of network management systems, servers, and related infrastructure.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical abilities with a knack for creative solutions.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent experience.
• Cisco or relevant certifications are a plus.
