    Job Purpose

    A Data Solution Architect is a professional responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive data solutions within Great Minds. This role involves understanding business requirements, evaluating technologies, and creating robust data architectures. Key aspects of the role include data modeling, integration, governance, and ensuring scalability and performance. Additionally, a Data Solution Architect often plays a crucial role in incorporating business intelligence tools like Power BI, designing reports, and ensuring effective data visualization. The overarching goal is to create data ecosystems that support informed decision-making, comply with data governance standards, and align with the strategic objectives of the organization.


    Responsibilities

  • Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and business goals.
  • Data Architecture Design: Develop scalable and efficient data architectures that support the storage, processing, and analysis of large datasets.
  • Technology Evaluation: Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, tools, and platforms for data storage, processing, analytics, and Power BI integration.
  • BI Solutioning: Design end-to-end BI solutions, including data modeling, report creation, and dashboard development to meet business intelligence needs.
  • Data Integration: Implement data integration strategies to ensure seamless flow of information across different systems and platforms, integrating Power BI seamlessly into the data ecosystem.
  • Data Modeling: Design and optimize data models to meet performance, scalability, and business requirements, ensuring compatibility with Power BI reporting requirements.
  • Data Governance: Establish and enforce data governance policies and practices to ensure data quality, security, and compliance for both underlying data and Power BI reports.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data analysts, data quality analysts and business stakeholders, to ensure the successful implementation of data solutions, including Power BI reports.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data solutions, including architecture diagrams, data dictionaries, and best practices, with specific emphasis on Power BI components.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of data solutions, including Power BI reports, to meet or exceed defined service-level agreements.
  • Emerging Technologies: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in data management, analytics, and Power BI advancements, integrating relevant advancements into the overall data architecture.
  • Training and Support: Provide guidance, training, and support to teams involved in the development and maintenance of data solutions, emphasizing Power BI usage and best practices.

    Requirements

  • Data Architecture Experience: 5+ years' experience in designing and implementing data architectures, including data modeling, integration, and optimization.
  • Database Management: Hands-on experience with database management systems, data warehousing such as Snowflake or Amazon Redshift, and knowledge of relevant technologies like SQL, NoSQL, and cloud-based databases.
  • Programming Language: Hands-on experience with programming languages like SQL, Python and Java.
  • Business Intelligence (BI): Proven experience in implementing business intelligence solutions Power BI or Tableau, including designing reports and dashboards.
  • Integration: Proven experience in integration with third-party APIs and REST APIs.
  • Data Governance and Compliance: Experience in establishing and enforcing data governance policies, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Technology Stack: Proficiency in evaluating and selecting appropriate technologies and tools for data solutions, including awareness of emerging trends and advancements.
  • Version Controlling Platform: Hands on experience on Git. Collaboration with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
  • Collaboration Skills: Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and business units.
  • Project Management: Experience in project management, overseeing the end-to-end implementation of data solutions, and ensuring successful project delivery.
  • Continuous Learning: The ability to stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and advancements in data management and analytics.
    Required Education
  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree, (master's degree preferred) in a related field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a similar discipline.

    The base salary range for this position is $124,000.00-$131,000.00, however the offered salary may be higher or lower than the above range dependent on numerous factors including, but not limited to location, work experience, skills and internal equity considerations.. The base salary is not inclusive of benefits or other incentives.
