    Job Overview:

    The Entry-Level Criminal Defense Attorney will provide legal counsel and representation to clients facing criminal charges. They will handle various aspects of criminal defense cases, including advising clients, attending hearings, managing court appearances, conducting legal research, and preparing legal documents.

    Duties:

    • Advise clients on their legal rights and draw up legal documents about their cases
    • Attend pretrial hearings on behalf of clients and provide post-hearing advice on strategies
    • Manage court appearances and trials, draft motions, interview witnesses, and perform legal research
    • Analyze probable outcomes of cases using knowledge of legal precedents
    • Manage the workload of cases effectively
    • Provide legal analysis to clients to determine potential case benefits
    • Gather additional evidence to support the client's case or counter the prosecution's charges
    • Prepare clients for depositions and determine essential case strategy goals
    • Handle complex criminal cases at federal, state, and local levels
    • Collaborate with fellow associates in strategizing and working on cases
    • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred
    • Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills

    Requirements:

    • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
    • Admission to the California State Bar or eligibility to sit for the Bar exam
    • Interest in gaining experience in Criminal Defense
    • Strong desire to handle complex criminal cases
    • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Proficiency in legal research and writing
    • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
