POSITIONSUMMARY: Assesses, administers, monitors andprovides therapy and objective measurement for respiratory careprocedures.

MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: Successfulcompletion of a CoARC accredited respiratory care program forregistered respiratory therapists.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSES:Possesses and provides an active New Mexico Respiratory CarePractitioner (RCP) license and is in "good standing" with allregulatory agencies. The practitioner may not be eligible foremployment or continued employment if there are restrictions ordisciplinary proceedings pending. Provides documentation of theNBRC's RRT credential. Possesses and provides proof of theminimum certification of Basic Life Support (BLS) through AmericanHeart Association. Additional ACLS, PALS and NRPcertifications are preferred. The employee is responsible formaintaining all licenses and certifications throughout the durationof employment.

SKILLS: Manualdexterity to provide respiratory therapy and operateequipment.

EXPERIENCE: Experience in all age-specific competencygroups preferred.

NATURE OFSUPERVISION:

-Responsible to: Manager ofRespiratory Therapy Center

ENVIRONMENT:

• Bloodborne pathogen --C
• Routine exposure to aerosolor serum-borne pathogens.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and manualdexterity.
