The successful candidates will: have an active program of research; be responsible for teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in online and campus-based formats; supervise field placements; and provide service to the School, College, University, and professional organizations or other external agencies.

    The position is for a tenure-track, 9-month faculty appointment to begin Fall 2024 in the School of Teacher Education and Leadership with the opportunity for supplemental summer teaching. Local residency is required. Physical Demands Required Qualifications · Candidates must hold a doctoral degree in special education or related field.· Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience teaching K-12 students with disabilities.· Candidates must have interest in and expertise to teach courses in special education with particular emphasis in: delivering literacy interventions to K-12 learners with disabilities, inclusive education in the K-12 setting, collaboration and co-teaching, legal aspects, and specially designed instruction.· Candidates must demonstrate commitment to fostering a community of inclusiveness through culturally relevant professional practice.
