    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Director of Corporate Security Services (CSS) will report to the Vice President of CSS. The Director will be responsible to support and direct NFI's administrative strategy and programs for North America.

    The Director is a key leader among the CSS team. The Director will help support a culture and conduct of security collaboration throughout the NFI organization and among the companies many customers.

    The Director with the support of the Vice President will collaboratively develop policies and operating procedures in support of supply chain security, workforce protection and regulatory programs.

    The Director will support the Enterprise Risk Management organization and collaborate with Safety, Legal, Human Resources and other applicable departments as well as the Operational Presidents and organizational leaders.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Support CSS to implement positive performance and create a continuous culture of security in support of NFI's Purpose, Vision and Values.
    • Develop and implement business practices (Standard Operating Procedures) which are consistent with NFI's culture and values. This must be done in collaboration with NFI business groups while ensuring the company is in compliance with applicable security-related regulations and guidelines
    • Charged with responsibility and management of Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) program and
    • Administration of US CBP security requirements for Bonded Warehouses and other CBP Bonded Duty requirements
    • Lead the CSS programs via a behavioral-based security mindset. Support a positive security culture which encourages and promotes positive security behaviors and work practices.
    • Brief the VP of Security and leadership teams on status and nature of security risks while championing and mitigation of these risks
    • Support managing and implementing physical security systems and technology, including but not limited to: building and perimeter access, exterior and interior lighting, fencing, CCTV, DVR, Card-key Access systems, security Kiosk; remote-security systems, automated security systems, light beams/curtains and other inventory and building occupant security systems.
    • Perform security risk assessments and conduct related ongoing compliance monitoring activities in coordination with the Company's other legal and compliance functions.
    • Cooperate and support Human Resources and Legal in overlapping matters including but not limited to workplace violence issues, sexual harassment and workplace employment incidents.
    • Develop and implement security KPI's and leading indicators and report- out on same.
    • Collaborate throughout the organization and across all functions.
    • Develop and implement Security awareness, education and training programs.
    • Direct the selection, contracting, managing and budgeting of contract security services.

    KEY RELATIONSHIPS:
    • Internal: Support, consult and work with Corporate, Divisional and Operational Leadership in effecting NFI's Corporate Security Services programs. This position will lead and influence decisions on security processes, procedures and practices.
    • External: Work with external security professionals to include the law enforcement community, outside counsel, federal regulators, insurers and consultants. Represent NFI at industry associations, peer groups, customer forums and other organizations deemed appropriate by NFI
    KNOWLEDGE / QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
    • Bachelor's degree plus 10 years of progressively responsible experience in managing security strategies for a large organization, preferably within the transportation or logistics industry. Law enforcement experience not required yet can be helpful as well as ASIS Certifications or other recognized industrial security citations
    • Experience in leading, building, developing, and managing collaborative teams. The successful candidate must demonstrate clear examples of and cite results in establishing goals and metrics for measuring success.
    • Executive presence with strong leadership, collaboration, analytical, influential, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
    • Innovative thinker who is results-oriented with the ability to drive continuous improvement
    • Ability to speak, read, and write English. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and professionally both verbally, non-verbally and in writing.
    • Strong Computer application skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Google-Suite including Gmail.
    • Travel - required at varying frequencies with irregular hours as required based on business demands.
