    We are looking for a payroll tax intern who will directly assist the Tax Compliance Department with a wide range of projects related to payroll taxes reporting - including tax registrations, company succession, account closures, and tax inquiry and refund check research. This individual will work hand in hand with all members of the Tax Department to gain practical experience in finance centered on payroll tax compliance and support work. The Tax Department is responsible for reporting and remitting 1.5 billion in tax liabilities with federal, state, and local tax agencies on a quarterly and annual basis.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Recovering and replacement of state -dated checks.
    • Regular tax operations tasks including mail scanning/notice entry.
    • Assist with the quarterly state film incentive filing process.
    • Update legal company legal names with various tax agencies.
    • Provide assistance with analyst/manager special projects, as needed.
    JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATION NEEDED
    • Current student pursuing bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration (including Finance, Accounting, Economics, etc).
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-pasted environment with changing needs.
    • Detail-oriented with strong organization skills.
    • Prior experience using MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) at an intermediate level.
    • Exhibits professionalism.
    • Ability to work well in conjunction with others in a team environment.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • High degree of initiative, personal responsibility, and ownership.
    The hourly rate for this position is $17.00 and will be commensurate with experience related to the position.
