    Job Description

    The Management Analyst III – Congressional Affairs is responsible planning and establishing effective interactions and communication with with legislators, legislative staffs, and other Congressional entities.

    • Contributes to strategic planning and directs engagement objectives to develop and maintain productive relations with Congress and other level of the federal government to support and enhance acquisition operations
    • Develops plans, policies, and teams to build relationships and liaise with the Congress and other government agencies that regulate or influence appropriations and acquisition activities
    • Monitor and analyze proposed legislation, emerging issues, and trends to determine potential impact to the organization.
    • Review and provide advice on the implications of new and proposed legislation.
    • Demonstrated proficiency at complex project management in a fast-paced environment with a heavy workload
    • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Program Management, including the acquisition process, the budgeting process and Navy program execution

    Qualifications:

    Required

    • SECRET clearance required.
    • 10 or more years of professional experience supporting Government affairs or a relevant field, including at least two years of experience with Congress and congressional affairs
    • 2 or more years of experience advising Senior Leaders
    • Ability to read and understand legislation.

    Desired

    • Bachelor's level degree in a business or technical field
    • 1 or more years of experience conducting Congressional affairs for United States Government, Department of Defense, or Department of the Navy.
    • 1 or more years of experience with Strategic Communications and/or Public Affairs
