We seek an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager that will train develop and support staff and get to know our members and guests by name and preference.The Flamingo Grill offers a fresh take on the mid-century American grill evoking South Florida's golden age The job involves interviewing selecting training supervising counseling and disciplining restaurant staff for the efficient operation of the outlet maximizing restaurant department profitability implementing effective controls of food beverage and labor costs monitoring the restaurant's budget to ensure efficient operations including achieving budgeted revenue and labor expenses ensuring par stock levels are maintained by calculating inventory ordering retrieving stocking product evaluating cost effectiveness of all aspects of operation developing implementing cost savings profit enhancement measures utilizing computers accurately charging customers creating forecast revenue reports drafting correspondence moving throughout facility kitchen areas to visually monitor take corrective action to ensure food quality service standards are met verifying temperatures judging appearance taste products checking preparation methods determining quality providing guidance improvement implementing necessary adjustments consistency regularly reviewing evaluating degree customer satisfaction recommending marketing operational policies procedures when necessary keep up demand market changes investigating resolving food quality service complaints interacting positively with customers responsible compliance policies procedures related restaurant local state federal laws regulations ensuring cleanliness proper sanitation work service areas participating developing implementing marketing new creative menus attract predetermined customer market promoting cross-selling other hotel outlets company partaking development annual budget short long-term financial operating plans attending mandatory meetings divisional meetings departmental meetings staff meetings participating manager duty coverage program which require occasional weekend stayovers participating community public relations restaurants hotels utilizing traditional software programs Word Excel Publisher PowerPoint Outlook Express performing emergencies capacity any position supervised performing duties responsibilities assigned required internal relationships reports general manager external relationships members guests associates physical requirements lifting standing reaching handling feeling talking hearing seeing
