    Description

    We are looking to add an *I & C Engineer* to our team here at Victory Energy The I & C Engineer role includes creating P&IDs, knowledge of boiler codes, selecting instruments and control components, and preparing instrument data sheets that meet customer and VEO requirements.

    *ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*

    General knowledge of boilers: instrumentation and control concepts.

    Ability to generate ISA data sheets, instrument indexes and logic drawings.

    Use AutoCAD software to create Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and boiler trim drawings.

    Work with Microsoft Excel and Word to generate and maintain department documents.

    Organize documents both physically and electronically.

    Read customer specifications and use them when developing control systems and choosing instruments.

    Design electrical control systems in accordance with recognized codes and standards (NFPA 85, ASME, ISA, NEMA, UL, etc.).

    Assist other department personnel with control system Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs).

    Collaborate with department members and members of other VEO departments to resolve job-related concerns as required.

    Be the sole engineer for an entire project or share portions thereof with other engineers.

    Conform to existing departmental standards and offer objective, valuable input for the development of future standards.

    *OTHER JOB DUTIES:*

    Attend internal job-specific meetings.

    Meet with customers and vendors at VEO.

    Provide phone support to VEO customers and personnel in the field as needed.

    Perform other duties as assigned.

    *ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS:*

    One or more of the following:

    B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.

    Bachelor of Technology Degree with focus on instrumentation, control devices, and programmable logic/automation controllers.

    One to five years' experience designing any of the following electrical control systems may be considered in lieu of education: pump control, level control, burner management systems (BMS), combustion control systems (CCS), distributed control systems (DCS), nuclear control systems, etc.

    Strong understanding of both discrete and analog control principles and logic.

    General understanding of boilers is a plus.

    Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.

    Excellent time management and organizational skills.

    Advanced skills in Microsoft Office products, AutoCAD.
