- Under the direction of the clinical manager/ program director, the Registered Nurse (RN) provides patient care and manages the intake and discharge process for the wound care clinic patients as scheduled utilizing a case management model.
- Performing the initial nursing assessment, communicating findings with the wound care physician, wound assessment, documentation of care plans and evaluating the patient's status in achieving healing outcomes.
- This role includes, participation in quality improvement initiatives, providing education to the patient and caregiver, and serving as a patient advocate in the delivery and coordination of patient care.
- Requires an associate's degree and an active, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse.
- Basic life support (BLS) through American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
- Must have at least three (3) years clinical experience as a Staff Nurse in a comparable area such as post-surgical GI, GU, and integumentary nursing care
