Job Description and Requirements

Synopsys is looking for a Software Developer to join our organization and work on commercial EDA product in 3-Dimensional ICs (3DIC). This is an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art IC design involving exploration, planning, implementation and signoff flows.

You are required to have direct knowledge of IC design, especially in Floorplanning, Logic Synthesis, Placement, Routing, and Signoff Analysis. Industrial or academic research experience in 3DIC silicon chip/interposer/package design and analysis is highly preferred. Experience in developing relevant non-commercial software tools is also acceptable.

What you will do:

• 3DIC Compiler R&D work.
• Developing advanced implementation capabilities for automating the implementation and optimization of multi-die systems.

Background and skills:

• Minimum MS degree required; Ph.D. degree preferred.
• Direct knowledge of IC design, a plus.
• Successful candidate should have a strong C++ programming skill, knowledge of Data Structure, Algorithm, and familiar with scripting language such as Python and TCL.
• Prior records of academic or industrial technical presentation, research paper publication, patent in a teamwork environment is highly preferred.
• Candidate should have strong motivation to learn, explore new technologies, and demonstrate good problem-solving skills in a fast-paced technical environment.

The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $130,000-$196,000. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses. The actual compensation offered will be based on a number of job-related factors, including location, skills, experience, and education.
