Job description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Server to join our team. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and creating a memorable experience for our guests. If you have a passion for the restaurant and food industry, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

Have full knowledge of all food and beverage offerings.
Proactively guide guests through the dining experience with adherence to service timing standards.
On Time for all scheduled shifts
Must be in clean and pressed uniform at all times while on the floor.
Take and enter food and beverage order accurately.
Deliver food and beverage orders in a friendly and professional manner.
Answer all questions regarding the menus accurately.
Oversee table maintenance, coordinate service at the table with server assistants and runners. Assist server assistant in cleaning and re-setting tables.
Handle all financial transactions accurately and in accordance with established procedures.
Knowledge of member rules and policies to identify violations.
Properly and accurately close guest checks.
Acknowledge guest need, anticipate guest needs and always respond promptly to always maintain positive guest relations.
Operate as a member of a team, helping others and requesting help as needed. Perform other restaurant duties as requested by management.
Inform manager of any guest complaints, requests or problems.
Maintain organized and clean work area.
Communicate with in coming/ prior shift as to outstanding tables.
Complete assigned sidework.
Follow all safety and sanitation procedures that pertain to the job.
Follow and execute San Vicente Clubs standards as outlined
Clean and polish silverware, glass ware, sugar receptacle, trays, coffee pots, tea pots.

Skills:

Previous experience in high-volume, upscale restaurant or hotel is required
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness in the work area
Must be able to fulfill physical requirements of the job
Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
