    The NYT Advertising Mission is dedicated to promoting the expansion of digital advertising by creating products and technology that harmonize advertiser revenue with our subscriber growth and engagement.     About the Role

    You will identify strategic product possibilities to attract new advertisers and improve incremental ad revenue from our existing clients. Beyond this, you'll lead exploration into fresh product opportunities and inventive revenue models, extending beyond traditional direct and programmatic sales. We're on the lookout for a candidate with a track record in product management, someone experienced in tasks such as drafting technical specifications, evaluating opportunities, and staying attuned to business trends.

    Responsibilities:

    As the Product Leader for our Demand Products team within Advertising Mission you'll shape the vision and product roadmap for our advertising demand-focused products. This includes overseeing areas that impact both our direct and programmatic demand, with a focus on improving yields and fill rates.

    • You'll collaborate with the product marketing team to create a go-to-market strategy, ensuring seamless product implementation with sales and operations teams. Your role will gather qualitative feedback and employ data analytics to pinpoint crucial gaps, applying your product knowledge to create scalable solutions that notably enhance ad revenue.
    • As the guiding force bridging advertising, product development, engineering, data, and design, your vast expertise in digital media encompasses evaluating campaign performance, understanding ad tech, machine learning, data privacy, and programmatic exchanges, making you the leading voice in secure digital media projects.
    • You will report to the Senior Vice President, Head of Advertising Mission

    Basic Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of progressive product management experience.
    • 2+ years of developing product roadmaps independently.
    • 2+ years demonstrated experience balancing longer term roadmaps with getting features out the door.
    • 2+ years demonstrated experience launching or improving performance or scale of products.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Comfort with Agile software development methodology, Scrum, and experience creating wireframes and mockups to help guide product discovery and development.
    • Experience working on products shaped by algorithms, data science and machine learning.
    • Understanding of the business model levers that grow a subscription business.
    • Grasp of the engineering challenges and primary technologies that support a media business.
    • Experience with Advertising, Demand side.
    • User empathy and awareness and knowledge of user-centered design and user data and customer research.

    The annual base pay range for this role is between:

    $160,000—$185,000 USD
