    Vice President of Sales & Marketing

    Supervises:
    Salespeople and Sales Managers in the assigned territory.

    Role Overview :
    The Territory Sales Manager (TSM) is responsible for initiatives of the sales team in their territory.

    In this role, you are expected to implement new strategies, work with the inside and counter sales team to identify new business opportunities to meet sales objectives through ongoing customer outreach, cultivate good relationships with new and current customers, and ensure all numbers are hit by their area branch managers and their teams.

    Essential Job Functions


    The TSM primary responsibility is to drive the company's sales growth by maximizing the effectiveness of the inside and field sales force through activity supervision.

    The TSM is expected to spend significant time with branch managers, inside sales and in the field with outside sales representatives.

    Main Responsibilities Include


    Be responsible for larger strategic goals and objectives, such as expanding into new markets or increasing overall sales within a territory.

    You will work closely with branch managers, providing them with guidance and support to ensure the successful implementation of sales strategies.

    Support sales initiatives by proactively contacting customers before and after sales to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and address any complaints/issues/concerns.

    Make regular calls and in-person visits to customers.
    Develop and maintain key relationships with vendors, suppliers, internal and external customers.

    Develop and lead the ongoing communication flow between sales, estimating, purchasing and operations to ensure there's a cohesive strategy to meet business needs.

    Supervise market activity, sales trends and provide feedback on product performance.
    Adapt to current branch culture by actively participating in branch and sales meetings.
    Ability to work alongside and across department leaders to achieve business objectives.

    Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.

    Demonstrated leadership skills to coach and facilitate exceptional service and sales performance.
    The aptitude to become knowledgeable of the company's product lines in a reasonable amount of time.
    Proven relationship builder with outstanding customer service skills and an energetic, passionate, supportive approach to customers.
    Creative problem solver with the ability to think in an unexpected way to develop and negotiate innovative solutions.
    General computer proficiency including use of Microsoft applications and navigating multiple software systems required.
    Able to work in a team environment as well as being autonomous.
    Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
    Strategically minded and able to seamlessly adapt to changing situations.
    Must demonstrate a level of maturity and professionalism in all communications with internal and external customers.
    Clean driving record.

    Education And Experience

    3-5+ years' experience in sales management or similar role required.
    4-year college degree preferred.
    Prior experience working with independent contractors, wholesalers, builders across multi-product categories is a plus.
    Computer and phone use proficiency.

    Physical Requirements

    Valid driver's license and ability to travel/drive within the outlined territory.
    Ability to read, write & speak English.
