- Support during budget development, preparation, and reporting.
- Liaison with the Office of Management and Budget in the development of the County's six-year Capital Improvement Program (CIP) budget.
- Provides planning, budget, and accounting expertise in accordance with the County's fiscal policies.
- Reconciliation of accounts, to include actions to resolve discrepancies.
- Tracking project funding changes and taking necessary actions to ensure accounts remain balanced.
- Collection of DTCI's performance measure data and associated reporting.
- Providing analysis of organizational and financial issues.
- A thorough understanding of financial budgeting, accounting, and management principles.
- Experience developing and maintaining budgets through an ERP or BI platform.
- The ability to prepare detailed analysis of a wide range of issues.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of grants development and management.
- Capital Improvement Program budgeting preferred, but not required.

Job Summary
Loudoun County, Virginia is currently seeking a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical and communications skills, for the Senior Management and Budget Analyst position to support the County's Department of Transportation and Capital Infrastructure (DTCI).
DTCI is responsible for the design and construction of roadway and facility infrastructure, renovation of existing County facilities, as well as transportation planning, traffic engineering and special projects.
The ideal candidate is a team player, with a focus on monitoring the financial status of the department and identifying opportunities to improve the efficiency of financial operations.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Public Policy, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; four (4) years of related work experience in areas such as government, budget management, policy analysis, project management, or program evaluation; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
