Description

Job Summary:
The Host/Hostess is responsible for ensuring members are greeted when they enter the Club with the standard of excellence guests come to expect from Noble House Hotels

Essential Functions:

Greet and welcome members as they enter the Club
Escort members to their tables and present menus
Maintain knowledge of daily reservations
Maintain knowledge of table/seat numbers, proper table set ups, and room capacity
Prepare station chart and assign seating to station areas
Set up hostess station with necessary supplies and maintain cleanliness at all times
Update menus and wine lists
Record and confirm restaurant reservations and cancellations
Communicate VIP arrivals and special requests to designated personnel for follow up
Ensure tables are cleaned and reset
Ensure great menu knowledge
Must use members names when possible
Handle member opportunities on first impact and ensure that all members have an experience up to Noble House Hotels standards
Complete side work including cleaning, stocking, and folding silverware

Secondary Functions:

Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education & Experience:

Previous experience in a similar position in a hospitality environment preferably with fine dining experience
On the job training
Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with members, management and co-workers to their understanding
Maintain a work environment that is clean and presents a professional image.
Attend and participate in-services as required by federal, state, and company requirements
Report any safety and maintenance issues to the Manager
