    The Teradyne Product Support Engineering team is looking for a highly motivated, energetic, technically driven, and experienced Engineer to provide world class support to the current and future generations of Teradyne Semiconductor Test Products.

    This role is enabled by an in-depth knowledge of Teradyne's product offerings coupled with a desire to provide timely solutions across an evolving customer Landscape.

    The Product Support Engineer role is a dynamic global support opportunity that spans an array of engineering disciplines.
    This individual will report directly to the Semiconductor Test Product Support Engineering Manager. This is an onsite position in our North Reading site.
    Responsibilities

    • Represent PSG as a core team member on both existing and new products.
    • Work with the field team and engineering (SW and HW) on field issues and escalations in both the field and factory.
    • Assist with finding root cause to increase system up time.
    Work as part of the new product integration team by:

    • Participating in new product team meetings
    • Working with design engineering to design in serviceability {DFS)
    • Lead installation and serviceability discussions as part of design reviews.
    • Support system installation requirements and work with install coordinator on required tools, resources, etc.
    • Develop a Field Replaceable Unit (FRU) strategy.
    • Organize, schedule and project manage field upgrades.
    • Manage training for Teradyne field service engineers.
    • Develop support documentation.
    • Monitor system and new product reliability.
    • Generate reliability reports based on field issues.
    • Travel expectations are less than 20% of work requirements.
    Basic Qualifications & Skills

    • 5+ year of electromechanical experience
    • SolidWorks and design experience is a strong plus
    • Hard Disk, System Level Test, or Semiconductor testing experience desired.
    • Technical Project Management experience desired
    • Product Support experience desired
    • Automation experience desired
    • Critical thinking and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
    • Ability to create detailed documentation
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to work with limited supervision and with cross-functional teams.
    • Must be self-motivated, team oriented, and "hands-on."

    Education:
    Bachelor of Science in Engineering (MFG/ME/EE), Electromechanical preferred, or equivalent experience.
