    Summary You will serve as a Supply Technician in the Property Management Department of NAVSEALOGCENKYPTDIVNUWC MECH PA in Philadelphia, PA
    Duties


    • You will assist the Warehouse On-Site Lead with Operating Materials and Supplies program management.
    • You will conduct daily warehouse inventory management operations.
    • You will assist supply specialists in assuring effective material support for weapons systems and operational equipment that is in direct support of production.
    • You will perform Care of Supplies in Store (COSIS) for stock material.
    • You will assure records are maintained to facilitate adequate segregation of program materials.
    • You will coordinate stockage and distribution of material with users and supply personnel to assure that sufficient material of the correct kind is available to meet predicted needs.
    • You will assure records are maintained in a manner to facilitate adequate segregation of program materials.
    • You will assist the Receiving section in processing receipts during peak periods to reduce the backlog of work.
    • You will assist the Shipping section in the processing of inbound and outbound small parcel and freight shipments.
    • You will pack materials and equipment in boxes, crates or cartons, using waterproof liners or wrappings when specified
    Requirements Conditions of Employment


    • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
    • Must be a US Citizen.
    • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

    • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g
    fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals)

    • This is a bargaining unit position.
    • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites

    • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination
    Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-6 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
    Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing supply support services associated with warehousing and inventory of supply materials to include receiving, inspecting, storing, or inventory control using an automated inventory system such as Operating Materials and Supplies (OM&S) Inventory Onsite Support
