    I'm looking for an AI Scientist for an exciting AI/Digital Healthcare company. You'll be responsible for driving research and development by contributing your scientific knowledge as well as practice expertise in natural language processing (NLP) and information extraction (IE) technologies.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop custom NLP/IE pipelines to extract medical and healthcare information from unstructured sources
    • Design and train custom deep neural networks for accurate detection of disease symptoms, signs, billing codes and related information in physician notes, EMR/EHR records, and other healthcare data.
    • Design, implement, and evaluate online and federated learning AI systems for continuing training and refinement of NLP/IE pipelines and models.
    • Provide key contributions to the development of novel AI methods to facilitate establishment of the company's competitive advantages and IP.
    • Be actively engaged in scientific research and publication activities, including literature review, method development and evaluation, and manuscript writing.
    • Constantly monitor state-of-the-art AI technologies and provide assessments of their suitability to the company's software applications.

    Skills & Attributes:

    • PhD or Masters in Computer Science
    • Solid knowledge of DL/MLNLP/IE Technologies
    • Deep knowledge of and practical experience with designing novel sequential and transformer neural network architectures as well as transfer learning and tuning of LLMs and other pretrained models
    • Experience in creating custom training datasets, including data collection, preprocessing, and augmentation.

    Nice to have:

    • Experience with applying NLP techniques to unstructured medical sources
    • Knowledge of biomedical ontologies, terminology, and controlled vocabularies.
