    Description

    General Purpose:
    Serves guests food and beverage items in a prompt, professional and courteous manner. Makes and serves guests delicious beverages in accordance with established standards and with hospitality and professionalism. Creates memorable dining experiences through personalized and genuine interactions.


    Essential Duties:
    Stocks bar, mixes and serves alcoholic beverages, assists in cost control, inventory and maintaining inventory records.

    Prepares restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order.

    Maintains inventory control through conscientious use and careful monitoring of all food and beverage products. Communicates with management in a timely manner when supplies are needed.

    Ensures compliance with applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by the management.

    Communicates guest requests and concerns to the Department Manager.

    Performs opening and closing duties which include, but are not limited to inventory, cash control, cleaning, and restocking.

    Describes specials of the day to the guests. Answers questions regarding any menu item and offers suggestions of menu items when appropriate.

    Presents menus and assists guests in selecting food and beverage items.

    Delivers food to guests promptly after preparation.

    Confirms orders with the chefs and bartenders whenever clarification is requested.

    Ensures guest satisfaction. Anticipates guest needs, replenishes items as needed, and maintains a clean and clutter free table.

    Maintains organized workstation and side work duties.


    Collaborates with other servers, kitchen, and bar staff before, during and after meal service periods to execute a "Member/Guest Comes First" approach.

    Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.

    Accountable for checks and cash transactions. Utilizes Point of Sales System.

    Reviews banquet schedule for changes, calendar of events, and special events.

    Serve catered parties from service or portable bars.

    Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.

    Regular and reliable attendance.

    Performs other duties as required.


    Minimum Requirements:


    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


    Preferred Requirements:

    • 2+ years' Server experience preferred
    • Proven exemplary customer service skills
    • 2+ years' experience with a restaurant POS software platform

    Physical Demands:
    Frequently stands, walks, talks, listens, and uses hands. Regularly reaches with hands and arms. Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches; tastes, smells and sits. Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds. Occasionally may lift up to 50 pounds. . Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions. Noise level is moderate.


    Certificates/Licenses:
    ServSafe Certified (Food & Alcohol) or TIPS equivalent. If required by state

    Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:
    Knowledge of wine, spirits, beer and current trends in industry and marketplace

    Working knowledge of POS system.

    Attention to cleanliness and safety.

    Must have legible handwriting.

    Patience and customer-oriented approach.

    Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude.

    Responsible and trustworthy.

    Possesses the knowledge of cocktail recipes

    Demonstrate a strong commitment to company values

    Exceptional personal hygiene and positive representation of the organization to Troon employees, clients and vendors

    Fluent in English speaking, writing and understanding

    Must meet state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages
