    JOB SUMMARY
    Assist the Night Sanitation Manager in overseeing the Sanitation operations, including but not limited to: Training and Employee development, communicating pertinent information and leading meetings monitoring and re-ordering of chemicals, verifying work quality of employees, assuring that sanitation requirements are met, assuring that production areas are cleansed appropriately and in a time frame that allows for "on time" production start up, monitoring adherence to Standard operating procedures, preferred work methods, and good manufacturing practices as well as conducting safety meetings recognizing safety opportunities and acting on them.
    DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
    Each employee is responsible for the food safety and quality of products.

    • Assisting in ensuring successful turnaround production rooms from the end of production shift to appropriate start up time in a safe and efficient manner.
    • Fill in, as required, in any sanitation job function including but not limited to: cleaning, sanitizing, and performing pre-operational inspection.
    • Assures that company interests are protected through appropriate handling of valuable equipment and products.
    • Work with other departments such as QA, Production, and Maintenance, to resolve any issues related to operational sanitation, room release and hand off, equipment concerns, etc.
    • Assist in assuring any and all Federal, State, Local and Company, and local health requirements are met.
    • In the Supervisor's absence, provide direction, instruction, and full oversight of Sanitation Personnel and processes.
    • Champions a safety culture.
    • Assure that all safety and GMP rules are adhered to by all personnel.
    • Assures that chemicals are inventoried, available, and properly mixed to protect workforce and facility, as well maintaining appropriate cost.
    OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    • Properly assemble and disassemble equipment.
    • To report all accidents, injuries or illnesses to the supervisor immediately.
    • Strict adherence to company policies.
    • Willingness to champion companies core values and beliefs.
    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • A high school diploma/GED or equivalent in experience is required.
    • Ability to mix, titrate, and test chemicals used
    • Must be able and willing to learn to become proficient in our computer ERP system.
    • Knowledge of MS Office programs (Excel, Word Outlook).
    • Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Must be able to lead and direct people.
    • Must have the ability to provide clear directions, instructions and expectations to other employees.
    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
    • Position requires frequent standing, walking, and occasional lifting of up to 80lbs.
    • Over 2/3 of time spent in a cold environment.
