    Education Sales Consultant - 1099

    Objective

    Booksource is the premier provider of expertly curated Classroom Libraries in the K-12 market. Family owned and flourishing for 50 years, our culture and our people are the backbone of our success. Booksource Sales Consultants are the company's main presence in our sales territories, creating, maintaining, and actively sustaining connections with key decision makers in the Pre-K to 12th grade education market. Our Sales Consultants contribute by retaining and growing business through proactive nurturing of customer relationships and collaborative partnership with their internal Literacy Accounts Managers.

    We look for effective Sales Consultants who can engage our customers and help us grow the business in both existing accounts and through forging connections with new districts. Competitive income potential for an outside Sales Consultant with outstanding support and marketing materials provided by Booksource, as well as engaging training and development support from numerous internal partners. Your business success is our success and we take pride in building strong, mutually beneficial partnerships with our Sales Consultants

    This is an independent, commission-based, 1099 sales representative position.

    Partnerships

    Booksource Regional Sales Manager / Literacy Account Manager

    We are looking for someone with:

    · Established background as a sales professional for a minimum of 2-3 years.

    · Sales experience or aptitude for the process of identifying and fulfilling customers' needs.

    · A collaborative and team-oriented mindset to enhance support of internal Literacy Account Managers.

    · Strong ability to maintain current customer relationships and develop new relationships in prospect territories.

    · Excellent verbal and written communication, customer service, organizational, relationship, and problem-solving skills.

    · Ability and willingness to travel within territory for sales calls, trade shows, and other sales opportunities.

    · Knowledge of K-12 education system a bonus.

    Goals:

    · Develops sales strategy that supports success in marketing, products, and acquisition of new business.

    · Grows sales in assigned territories & provides exceptional customer experience. Resources include Booksource National Sales Manager, Literacy Account Managers and Customer Care teams.

    · Develop and maintain strong relationships with leads to convert to customers.

    · Participates in Booksource trainings to acquire and continually develop the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to effectively establish Booksource as an industry expert and strategically position our products and services.

    · Follows up on Booksource genterated leads from Booksource Classroom sign-ups and National/Regional trade shows.

    · Effectively manages time in a virtual office environment.
