We are hiring for Direct Support Professional and watch your efforts make a difference in the lives of people with disabilities. In this rewarding entry-level role you will be a key member of a care team helping people identify and achieve their goals and live their best lives.You'll wear many hats advocate cheerleader teacher shopping partner role model coach and more supporting people in both their home and community from one day to the next.
Responsibilities
- Promote healthy living and prevent illness accidents.
- Increase awareness of self-advocacy support individual choice decision-making.
- Accompany people to work movies concerts shopping other community outings teach independent living skills provide transportation appointments foster positive relationships within community promote decision-making about living work social relationships assist personal care bathing help around home laundry cleaning decorating document care provided educate on human legal civil rights understand diverse challenges those living disabilities use effective advocacy strategies connect resources further explore opportunities career education volunteerism promote effective communication assist medication administration where state law allows protect confidentiality.
