    Weekend Schedule: 7am to 7pm, works 24 hours compensated for 36 hours

    On Call: 7pm to 7am Saturday and Sunday

    BASIC FUNCTION:


    Under the direction of the medical imaging manager with limited supervision and general directions, performs high quality radiographic exams and procedures to aide in medical diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.


    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES


    Works with Gundersen Moundview Hospital and Clinic patients and families to provide compassionate, individualized care in the provision of radiology services.

    Understands and applies the concepts of radiography when performing patient exams.

    Demonstrates accurate knowledge of established protocols and equipment operation when performing exams on patients. Provides the best images possible to radiologists and providers for interpretation. Provides high quality service to customers in a cost effective and efficient manner.

    Assumes responsibility to provide a quality learning environment for patients, their families, and co-workers.

    Responsible for attending staff meetings, in-services, and continuing education as required by the department.

    Performs other job-related responsibilities as listed on the competency checklist and as requested by others.

    Utilizes knowledge of regulatory compliance when working with patients and their associated charge.

    Maintains confidentiality with others regarding patient and organizational information.

    POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

    Education and Learning:

    Required:
    Post High School education in a specialized field: Graduate of an accredited American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) school of Radiologic Technology


    Work Experience:

    Required: 1 year of experience in healthcare/hospital setting preferred. Must have the flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and on-call duty as scheduled

    Desired:
    Epic EMR, CT and/or Mammography experience preferred.

    License and Certifications:

    Required:
    American Registry of Radiologic Technology Registered Technologist-Radiography (ARRT) Licensed Radiographer with the State of Wisconsin (LICRAD-WI)

    Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR certification; Heart Saver, Rescue and Military training network CPR; or the American Red Cross CPR certification (CPR)

    Desired:
    Mammography and/or CT certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technology Registered Technologist (ARRT)
