    Job Overview:
    We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Orthopedic Technician to join our team. As an Orthopedic Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing patient care and assisting with orthopedic procedures. Your expertise and knowledge will contribute to the overall success of our orthopedic department.


    Duties:

    • Assist orthopedic surgeons and physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and surgeries
    • Prepare examination rooms and surgical suites by ensuring cleanliness and availability of necessary equipment
    • Set up and maintain sterile fields during procedures, adhering to aseptic technique
    • Apply casts, splints, and braces to patients as directed by healthcare providers
    • Educate patients on proper care and maintenance of orthopedic devices
    • Perform basic coding for billing purposes
    • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care
    • Maintain accurate documentation of patient information, including medical history and treatment plans Experience:
    • 3+ years current experience - Required
    • MUST be experienced AND comfortable with casting, splints, braces, etc... Cast Technician
    • NBCOT or EQUIVALENT NATIONAL Ortho Certification - Strongly Preferred
    * *MUST be able to apply casts comfortably with proficiency - required** *Proficient specialty experience in working with Orthopedic - absolutely required and needed** *Must be certified if MA


    • Skills:
    • Knowledge of orthopedic procedures and techniques
    • Proficient in applying casts, splints, and braces
    • Familiarity with coding for billing purposes
    • Strong understanding of aseptic technique
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

    • Casting, Splints, braces: 3 years (Required)
    • MUST be able to apply casts comfortably with proficiency: 3 years (Preferred)
