    Job Description

    Easterseals of Southeastern Pennsylvania seeks energetic and passionate PDE certified Teachers to serve young children with disabilities within our specialized integrated preschool programs throughout the regional area. Teacher positions include Approved Private School, Early Intervention Center, and Friendship Academy classrooms.

    Our center-based programs educate children ages 3-6 with disabilities. Essential duties include classroom instruction, supervising Teacher Assistant staff in the classroom, working with IEP's to achieve the student's goals, and collaborating with Therapists, staff members, and administration. We strive to hire those who are passionate about the pediatric special needs population, have strong communications skills, enjoy a team environment and want to make a difference in the lives of those they assist. This position involves the school year plus a 5 or 6-week summer program.

    We are looking for Teachers who can create fun, engaging and literacy/play-based lessons. This position offers the right candidate an opportunity to become part of our multi-disciplinary supportive team working with children with disabilities and their families.

    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Services and/or Social Services required.
    • PDE certification PK-4, PDE Special Education PK-12, or PDE Special Education PK-8.
    • Experience working with children with Autism a plus.
