    Job Requirements

    The ideal candidate will be comfortable generating frequent financial reports for senior management. They should track financial information in a well-organized manner and assist the Controller in all aspects related to finance at the organization. This candidate should be comfortable analyzing balance sheets in order to forecast revenue and keep track of accounts payable and receivable.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Maintains and reconciles general ledger accounts on a recurring basis, including posting monthly journal entries, completing account reconciliations, providing variance analysis and investigating discrepancies.
    • Has responsibility for the income statement and balance sheet for the facility.
    • Prepares annual budget and forecasts during the year for the income statement, balance sheet and cash flow.
    • Prepares a 13-week cash forecast to determine short term cash needs of the facility
    • Responsible for new business quoting and tracking profitability during program life cycle, post award and postproduction, alerting the team of any margin deterioration that needs to be addressed
    • Conducts month and year end closing, reconcile and balance all accounts and review monthly journal entries.
    • Provides the cost accounting expertise for the manufacturing operations.
    • Prepares financial statements and analytical reports as part of the monthly reporting package.
    • Ensures GAAP is incorporated into the management of the business.
    • Ensures appropriate internal controls are in place and supports effective and efficient annual financial audits.
    • Works closely with manufacturing operations to ensure accurate and timely capture of all production costs and effective analysis of production variances.
    • Develops and maintains thorough financial procedures and systems.
    • Develops the location budget and provides thorough analysis of variances
    • Manages the inter-company transfer of products.
    • Provide guidance to staff accountant(s) to ensure effective team support.
    • Prepare sales and use tax filings.
    • Develops, monitors and analysis manufacturing overhead allocation and burden rates to ensure appropriateness.
    • Manages book and tax depreciation for fixed assets.
    • Drives the collections of customer accounts receivables on an as needed basis.
    • Works effectively with IT to automate the companys financial reporting package.
    • Drives progress in developing more effective workflow processes, including paperless filing

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education:

    • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance required
    • MBA and / or CPA preferred but not required
    • Minimum of five years experience in the manufacturing environment (preferably automotive) required

    KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

    • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
    • Must be able to analyze financial statements, interpret and recommend courses of action to assist management in the successful operating of the business.
    • Must be willing to work in a team environment and function with little direct supervision.
