Overview
The Member Experience Associate plays a crucial role in both service and sales, responsible for delivering compassionate, exceptional Member service while proactively endorsing cross-sales referrals, sales, and branch promotions.
*Note: This position is based at our Mesa Branch.*
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out routine sales, service, and operational tasks for AAA Members across various areas such as DMV, cashiering, auto travel, notary and insurance sales support, with a focus on adhering to required standards, policies, and procedures.
- Demonstrating and advocating products and services to achieve individual objectives in alignment with organizational goals and targets.
- Overcoming challenges that hinder Team Member or branch initiatives, recognizing opportunities for process enhancement, and suggesting remedies.
- Embracing a role as a catalyst for change while advocating AAAs core values and guiding principles.
Skills and Qualifications
- Displaying proficiency in sales and service. Capable of engaging effectively in-person with new, potential, and existing Members.
- Demonstrating accuracy and ease in handling currency, providing change, and reconciling cash registers.
- Possessing solid computer skills, adept at both reading and basic arithmetic.
- Exhibiting strong written and verbal communication skills both face-to-face and over the phone.
- Ability to multitask in response to demands, requirements, and expectations from Members/Team Members. Open to receiving feedback and adjusting approach as needed.
Education & Experience / Licenses & Certification
- High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
- 1-2 years of professional experience, preferably in sales or customer service-oriented roles, including backgrounds in insurance, retail, service industry, call centers, or fast-paced office settings.
- Experience with sales and service standards and objectives.
- Current and clean Driver's License may be obligatory.
- Bonding and fingerprinting might be necessary.
- AZ P&C License is a must.
Work Environment/Physical Requirements
- Operates in diverse office settings where extended periods of standing, walking, or sitting at a desk, table, or computer workstation may be required.
- Possibility of traveling by car, plane, or other means of transport for business meetings or conferences.
- Potential need to work in one or more locations within a defined service area. Approximately 50-80% of the job involves the use of a personal computer.
