The JobSquad Solutions Team is currently looking for a A/R Clerk to work at a company located in the Pompano Beach, FL area

Job Title

Pay/hours for position

$19/hr;

Monday Friday; 8 AM 5 PM

Requirements of position

General Accounting experience (Required)
Minimum 1 year A/R experience (Preferred)
Degree in Accounting (Preferred)
Excellent data entry skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Ability to proactively communicate and work effectively with internal staff members and external customers/vendors
Ability to manage and complete multiple responsibilities within established timeframes
Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information

Responsibilities of position

The Accounts Receivable Clerk secures revenue by verifying and posting receipts and resolving discrepancies.

The job will include, but not be limited to the following:

Posts customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions
Posts revenues by verifying and entering transactions from local deposits
Updates receivables by totaling unpaid invoices
Maintains records of payments, debits, and credits
Verifies validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales, trade promotions, customer service departments, and from customers
Resolves valid or authorized deductions by entering adjusting entries
Resolves invalid or unauthorized deductions by following pending deductions procedures
Resolves collections by examining customer payment plans, payment history, credit line; coordinating contact with collections department
Summarizes receivables by maintaining invoice accounts; coordinating monthly transfer to accounts receivable account; verifying totals; preparing reports
