- Provide diagnostic psychiatric evaluations for patients in the adult emergency department.
- Works collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team with strong interpersonal and communication skills is essential.

- Master's degree or equivalent in education and experience; plus, a minimum of two (2) years' experience in an outpatient setting, or inpatient setting, or emergency department setting.
- Current New York State Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse license.
- National Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
- DEA certificate and BLS certification.
- Previous Nurse Practitioner experience and recent experience in Psychiatry.
- Experience in Emergency Program.
- Doctorate in Nursing Practice.
- Must successfully complete all online systems training requirements.
- Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner Licenses required.

Position Summary
The Department of Psychiatry is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our team in a full-time position to work within the division of Adult Psychiatry in the Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program.
This position will support the department by providing clinical care within the New York Presbyterian Hospital at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center.
The CPEP is staffed with Psychiatric Attendings, Residents, Registered nurses, students, licensed social workers, a recreation therapist, and admission personnel; a vibrant team where professional peer support and supervision is also a priority.

o Orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians.
