    Large trailer manufacturing company looking for a strong staff accountant to join the team Great job stability, position is open due to amazing company growth

    Qualifications:

    3+ years of accounting experience

    Minimum of 2 years of Cost Accounting work experience in a manufacturing environment required

    Experience with Infor SyteLine (CSI) preferred

    Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred

    Strong financial analysis skills

    Ability to prepare financial reports and give recommendations based on available data

    Job Duties:

    Recommend changes to the company's processes and policies to reduce cost and maximize profit

    Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs

    Advise executives and upper management on appropriate costing based on financial data

    Records and reports cost information for use in controlling expenditures, conducting audits as necessary

    Assist in audits and general ledger preparation

    Preparing audit reports and findings to management

    Prepare and complete internal cost audits

    Provide management with reports that specify and compare factors that affect prices and profitability of products or services

    Setting standard costs of manufactured goods

    Work with engineering and manufacturing staff to develop costs and pricing of new and proposed products

    Develop and analyze cost standards

    Carry out cost-volume-profit (CVP) analysis

    Collect and analyze data from ERP system and establish operational costs of business activities such as manufactured products and goods, labor, and overhead

    Perform account reconciliations

    Assist in physical inventory and operations audits

    Monitor inventory transactions and processes

    Complete General Ledger month-end closing activities

    Assist in preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements, Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow statements and other accounting books.

    Prepare journal entries, schedules, and analyses

    Comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements

    Comply with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements
