    DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
    Greenspace Management is seeking a

    Management Analyst III

    to join its team. This position's primary role is to gather, compile, analyze data that is used to inform management decisions.

    The ideal candidate will recommend ways to improve our organization efficiency, examine budget and budget estimates for competencies, accuracy, and conformance with procedures and regulations.


    OTHER DUTIES INCLUDE
    Review and analyze work order data from field operations.
    Lead/and or assist with Greenspace Management special projects.
    Create forms to collect data in a collaborative platform such as SharePoint.
    Generate weekly and monthly reports that compare actual performance with maintenance standards using pivot tables and other reporting formats.
    Troubleshoot the work order processes to ensure data collection, data entry, and reporting are timely, accurate and consistent.
    Organize and lead the process to update various standard operating procedure manuals.

    Research public works CIP database to track the progress of construction projects that will impact the Greenspace Management maintenance inventory.

    Perform administrative functions for the department's budget review process
    Utilize analytical tools to set up and track special projects from planning to completion.
    Review external reports and advise of subject matter impact on Greenspace Management operations.
    Maintain current and accurate inventory of various types of assets.
    Conduct research to discover best practices, benchmarks and other data for reports and analyses.
    Performs other duties as needed.

    WORKING CONDITIONS
    There are no major sources of discomfort, i.e., essentially normal office environment with acceptable lighting, temperature and air conditions.


    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
    Requires a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Finance or a field directly related to the job.


    EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    Four years of professional experience in accounting, budget analysis, finance, public administration, or a field directly related to the job are required.


    Substitutions:
    Experience

    cannot

    be substituted for the Bachelor's degree requirement.

    A Master's degree in a field directly related to the job may substitute for two years of the above experience requirement.


    LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
    None


    PREFERENCES
    Preference will be given to candidates with:

    Advanced level skills Microsoft Excel.
    Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive and other collaborative tools.
    Experience generating queries and reports from work order systems.
    Experience creating forms to collect data.

    Preference shall be given to eligible veteran applicants provided such persons possess the qualifications necessary for competent discharge of the duties involved in the position applied for, such persons are among the most qualified candidates for the position, and all other factors in accordance with Executive Order 1-6.
