    Pediatric Cochlear Audiology Coordinator

    Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and Clinics (DH) is the leading academic/medical facility in Northern New England. The Audiology Section at DH provides a range of diagnostic and amplification/management options for all ages and works closely with Otolaryngology/Otology. Various behavioral hearing tests and auditory physiologic measures are performed including sedated and unsedated ABR, as well as OAEs, VNGs, VHITs, VEMPs and ECOGs. Our aural rehabilitation services include hearing aid dispensing, cochlear implant management, osseointegrated technologies and hearing assistive technology (HAT). The clinic strives to practice evidence-based audiology and employs best practices.

    We are seeking a fulltime Pediatric Cochlear Audiology Coordinator to join our team.

    Position Highlights:

  • Monday-Friday, 8-hour days
  • Emphasis on pediatric testing and auditory evoked potentials
  • Collaboration with Otolaryngology, Pediatrics, Neurology, and Speech Pathology for complex cases and referrals
  • Participation in teaching and research projects as well as program development
  • Academic appointment with Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth
  • This leadership role will also include:

  • Supervision of pediatric audiologists and support staff
  • Collaboration with management for direction and scope of audiological practice
  • Development of innovative clinical procedures for Audiology
  • Plan and implement continuing education programs on the local, regional and national levels as appropriate
  • Participation in cutting edge clinical and basic science research with both Otolaryngology and the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth exists and is encouraged (but not required)

    Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Audiology with 4 years of direct experience in cochlear implant clinical care, and pediatric clinical care required.
  • Proven leadership skills desired.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Required Licensure/Certifications
  • Certification by either ASHA or ABA (six-year or with eligibility for certification by the American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association required.
