- Radiology: Provides patient care, ensures an environment of patient safety, promotes evidence-based practice and quality initiatives and exhibits professionalism within established Radiology and Imaging National standards.
- Cardiovascular Service Line: Provides patient care, ensures an environment of patient safety, promotes evidence-based practice and quality initiatives and exhibits professionalism within established IAC, ASE, SVU, and Mount Carmel standards.
- Performs a variety of Ultrasound procedures both professional and non-clinical consistent with optimal image quality.
- Responsible for entering on-line charges in the computer system (Radiology Information System-RIS) and accountable for charges as specified by the Administrative Policy, ensuring a high level of accuracy.
- Education: Graduate of an approved Ultrasound program preferred
- Licensure / Certification: Radiology: Registered as a Sonographer by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) with specialties in abdomen, obstetrics and gynecology, and other appropriate areas.
- Experience: Radiology: Minimum of one years' experience in Ultrasound required. Cardiovascular Service Line: Minimum of three years experience in Ultrasound required.
- Effective Communication Skills
- Maintain current CPR certification.

About the job:
The Senior Sonographer performs a variety of Ultrasound procedures both professional and non-clinical consistent with optimal image quality. Responsible for assisting with the daily operation of the Ultrasound Department within Cardiovascular Service Line or Radiology Services. Provides supervision for the designated Ultrasound segment in absence of the Manager or Supervisor.
