The RN-CVOR has the responsibility of providing direct and indirect nursing care to assigned patients. Also responsible for providing nursing support in the care and preparation of patients undergoing Cardiovascular surgical procedures.
Works under the direct and indirect supervision of the Nurse Manager or designee but is independent in the application of CVOR nursing knowledge and skills.
Manages clinical situations for which he/she is responsible.Functions as an important member of the surgical team in the operating room and at times, circulates all levels of CVOR and trauma cases.
Must be able to take call, including weekends.Bonus

Minimum Requirements
Associate's Degree in Nursing. BSN preferred.
One year experience as a registered nurse.
Required Licensure/Registrations/Certifications
Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina
In Lieu Of The Above Minimum Requirements
In lieu of 1 year of registered nurse experience, will accept successful completion of the Prisma Health Nurse Residency Program or successful completion of a comparable residency from another organization.
Other Required Skills
Maintain inventory control, Surgeons preferences and instrumentation needs. Able to precept new staff to the CVOR and maintain continuing education credits. - Required
Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
