    Ascension Saint Thomas is looking for a Vice President of Joint Ventures to join our team

    Summary:

    Ascension Saint Thomas has 11 joint ventures (10 local and one national) with various partners who manage operations with the exception of Center for Sleep which is managed by Ascension Saint Thomas. Given the complexities and increasing size of our JVs, there is a need to standardize our approach and processes to ensure strategic alignment, success of the goals, objectives and financial performance of these investments.

    Responsibilities

    Key Responsibilities:

    Manages strategic, operational and financial alignment for the portfolio of joint ventures and clinically integrated partnerships. Serves as the leader and primary point of contact for strategic partners and joint ventures. Develops and deploys solutions in collaboration of national and market leadership and collaborates with joint venture partners in facilitating change required to maximize strategic impact and alignment of joint ventures.

    • Serves as the primary lead for the joint venture relationship management, partnership engagement, growth and business development for the market's joint ventures and clinically-integrated partnerships.
    • Works closely with market leadership including Market President and CEO, Strategy, Finance, Operations, Medical Group leaders and Services Line Leaders to understand competitive environment, market share/market shift, business targets, growth drivers, alignment strategies and opportunities.
    • Manages collective performance of JV portfolio in collaboration with finance, strategy and operational leadership. Provides oversight for JV business development to ensure achievement of goals related to annual business plan strategies, forecasts and objectives. Monitors business plans routinely throughout the year.
    • Acts as lead for emerging prospects and new joint venture relationships in partnership with AST CSO and CFO. Works with members of Ascension national team and/or AST CFO or designee on due diligence and transactions. Conducts financial feasibility studies and develops proposals for new business opportunities in collaboration with local and/or national teams.
    • Facilitates and manages JV integration post transaction.
    • Supports engagement through collaborative and ongoing internal/external communication, rigor and structure/foundation of meeting cadence with JV executive leaders, physician MECs, payors, and JV boards as well as other key strategic audiences.
    • Oversees the development and continuous improvement of services, policies, processes and programs aligned with Ascension Saint Thomas and Ministry objectives.

    Requirements

    Education:

    • Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 7 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 4 of those years being in leadership/management.
