About the roleAs Director of Engineering at Harness, you'll lead a team pivotal to its success, focusing on fostering growth and enabling a multi geo team to innovate and deliver both open source and enterprise-grade features.

Your role involves close collaboration with Product Management, your team, and peers to ensure top-notch quality and execution in delivery.

Build and retain a growth-minded Enterprise SaaS organization: you know what it takes to both scale and sustain high-performing teamsVision & Direction: You will set the charter for your organization and understand how to deliver value to customersManagerial and interpersonal leadership: You will effectively communicate and collaborate with all areas of engineering and interact and work with engineers at all levelsInfluence: build and maintain strong relationships.

Align your team and stakeholders to what's best for HarnessDeep understanding of software engineering and architecture - you will lead with a developer mindset from your past experience, while remaining focused on leadership excellenceExercise world class cross functional leadership with all Harness orgsUse your past expertise in delivering products in software lifecycle/delivery space - CI/CDTrack record of delivery in rapidly changing, highly collaborative, multi-site, multi-stakeholder environmentsExpertise in developing enterprise Java apps on Linuxprior experience on running these apps in a large scale SaaS platformsAbout you8-10 experience as a technical lead developing Java apps for SaaS at scale, prior startup experience is a preferredA seasoned technology leader with experience in a growth-minded Enterprise SaaS organization: you know what it takes to both scale and sustain high-performing teams

Salary is determined by a combination of factors including location, level, relevant experience, and skills.

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.
