    Description

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Lead the day-to-day operations of the facility, with primary emphasis on Safety, Environmental Compliance and Production.
    • Ensure all equipment and processes are operating in a safe and efficient manner.
    • Provide support for equipment maintenance outages and reliability efforts.
    • Develop and execute improvement initiatives for final product quality, safety, cost savings, personnel development and process efficiency.
    • Support engineering project work and provide direction on Capital projects.
    • Actively support Responsible Care initiatives.
    • Develop and maintain an operational expenditure budget.
    • Provide technical advice to maintenance teams and external customers when required.
    • Ensure proper operation and care of equipment.
    • Facilitate succession planning and employee growth.
    • Recruit and train staff to meet facility objectives.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry or related degree preferred.
    • 7 years of experience in a chemical plant environment required; 10 years preferred.
    • 7 years of experience supervising salaried and hourly employees required; 10 years preferred.
    • Production operations management experience is essential.
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
    • Strong leadership skills with integrity.
    • Ability to foster a team environment and coach employees.
    • Excellent planning, analytical and communication skills.
    • Previous interaction with Customers would be an advantage.
    • Working knowledge of ERP systems with advanced knowledge of NAV preferred.
