    Project Coordinator/Manager - Construction

    Our client is growing and needs to add a Project Manager with some accounting experience. Someone that has worked their way up as a coordinator with Billing and collections experience would be ideal.

    Role Description

    This is a full-time on-site role for a Construction Project Manager. The project manager is responsible for all financial aspects of their assigned projects, from start-up to closeout, reporting to the Operations Manager. Work hours are expected to be spent either on project sites or in the office (remote work is discouraged). The Project Manager will be provided with a Company vehicle for travel to and from project sites.

    Responsibilities

    • Managing projects as if they were a standalone business – approving vendor invoices and timecards, monitoring labor, equipment and materials costs, and reporting project financial status against budgets.
    • Managing relationships with customers, owners, vendors and project field team.
    • Managing project schedules with site superintendent and communication with customers.
    • Negotiation, preparation and issuance of subcontract agreements, purchase orders and change orders.
    • Compile, submit and manage submittals.
    • Preparation of monthly project billings and follow-up on collections.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree.
    • 2+ years' experience in accounting.
    • Strong computer skills, Microsoft Excel in particular, and ability to learn new systems.
    • Construction industry knowledge a plus (but not a requirement).
    • Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
