The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for audit, managing fixed assets, vetting AFEs, streamlining accounting process, managing expense reports & purchase cards, and managing federal & state tax requirements.

This role involves communication with individuals throughout the organization to support accounting operations and capex projects, and to ensure compliance with internal controls.

Monthly Reporting

Work with directs reports and other accountants to ensure journal entries are entered in a timely manner and period close process is carried out on time, according to period close schedule.

Work with Controller and Operations Managers to submit AFEs in a timely manner.
Ensure fixed assets are updated and balanced, and depreciation reports are run monthly.
Complete reconciliations for various accounts.
Complete assigned OneStream forms on time.
Ensure federal and state taxes are reported in a timely manner.
Accounting operations
Drive process improvement in AFEs.
Staff development, identify productive workflow methods, suggest changes to accounting procedures and conduct department cross-training.
Manage expense reports and purchase cards.
Responsible for various accruals.
Assist in preparation of Budgets.
Address parent company insurance and tax requests.
Audits
Maintain good controls in your area of responsibility. Ensure compliance with GAAP, Marmon SPI's, RCM, Table of Authorities and Segregation of Duties (SOD).
Update accounting policies and Table of Authority as needed to maintain appropriate approvals and controls. Assist with audits.
Become familiar with Marmon SPI's and updates to SPI's and ensure compliance.
